TRAVEL SEMINAR
There is nothing comparable to experiencing an original work of art in the space it was designed for. This is the reason we travel. The annual Travel Seminar allows the art student access to cutting edge contemporary art and heroic masterpieces only read about in textbooks. It is an unparalleled experience outside of the classroom and studio; an experience where real-world learning builds on the foundation fostered within the program. Our destinations are the major urban meccas of art: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Santa Fe. For the majority of Snow students this is their first exposure to art galleries and museums outside of the state of Utah. These experiences inform their understanding of contemporary art, historic masterpieces, and eventually integrate into their personal studio practice.
