B.A. Mathematics Education, Brigham Young University, 2001
I have a confession to make: I nearly failed my 7th grade math class. I could "get" math, but it took a lot longer than my teachers or I would have liked. During college, I ended up with a job being a mathematics tutor and I realized how fun and exciting mathematics can be. I decided to change my major to mathematics and received a Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in Mathematics Education. I moved to Logan to obtain a Master's degree in Mathematics from Utah State University and then studied mathematics education two additional years at Oregon State University.
My wonderful wife and I have six children and we enjoy reading, attending the theater, and sports.
