Outdoor Adventures

-
These activities are designed to help you experience the
beauty and grandeur of Utah's mountains and deserts. You may choose to join a
small group of your classmates for a hike in the high alpine valleys of the
Manti LaSal National Forest; you might choose to camp at the foot of Mount
Nebo, the highest peak in the Wasatch Range; or you may choose to join a river
trip through the Canyons of the Green or Colorado Rivers. . Trips to the five
National Parks in Utah, as well as the Grand Canyon in Arizona and Yellowstone
National Park in Wyoming are among the national parks that the international
students visit. During the winter, there are memorable skiing and snowboarding
adventures.

Social Activities
- In addition to program sponsored picnics, parties, and
movies, you may choose from a wide variety of social activities. These
activities include group outings to nearby cities for shopping, sightseeing,
and theater parties. The Snow College International Program has its own
sleeping bags and tents for camping trips. Bring clothing appropriate for the
activities you plan to participate in. Shorts and swimwear work great for
lake activities and river trips. T-shirts, shorts, and hiking shoes or boots
are needed for mountain hikes. And for overnight camping trips in the summer
in the high mountains or skiing trips in the winter, bring a warm jacket and
pants. Don’t forget rain jackets for any of these excursions. And above all,
bring your camera. Other equipment you may need, such as skis and snowboards,
can be rented at low cost.
