Please subscribe to the LS-Blue mailing list by sending mail to listserv@lists.snow.edu with "subscribe LS-Blue" (without the quotes) in the body. This needs to be done within the first week of class (sooner is better).

Then you'll need to check your e-mail every couple of days or so. You are responsible for information given out through the e-mail list. The secret animal is turtle.

E-mail is another way to discuss mathematics. Some of you might feel more comfortable "saying" things over e-mail than in class (though you should still try to say things in class too). You can really think out your responses before you send them on e-mail. To qualify for a "D" you need to contribute more than a few of e-mail messages to LS-Blue throughout the semester.

Please, no "flaming"; be considerate, and argue about ideas without attacking people. For semi- (well, maybe less than semi-) -official "rules" on net etiquette, please see these guidelines and tips.
