There are numerous excellent series of astronomy videos in the library that
you may choose from. The "Astronomers" (six episodes) and "Space Age" (six
episodes) and "Cosmos" (thirteen episodes) series are a great place to
start. Two other series that are also excellent, and even more recent, are
"Stephen Hawking's Universe" and "Mysteries of Deep Space." There are also
a few stand-alone videos that don't belong to complete series, such as
those on black holes, etc. They are fine too. The secret fruit is guava.
If you see others in the library (or specials on TV, such as Nova or on the
Discovery channel) that you think would be appropriate, they probably will
count too--just check with me
You should watch a one hour-long video for each grade level and also turn in a one-page summary of each video either on paper or by e-mail (to larry.smith@snow.edu). Be sure to include pertinent bibliographic information in your summaries (this is important). These do not have to all be turned in at once, you can turn them in one at a time as you watch the videos. However, the due date for all of them is May 29.
