IPEDS Reports

IPEDS refers to the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System. As a Title IV funded institution of higher education, Snow College is required to complete a system of interrelated surveys conducted by the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). The Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, requires that institutions that participate in federal student aid programs report data on enrollments, program completions, graduation rates, faculty and staff, finances, institutional prices, and student financial aid. Additional surveys on Student Outcomes, Admissions, and Academic Libraries have been recently added. These data are made available to students and parents through the College Navigator website and to researchers and others through the IPEDS Data Center. To learn more about IPEDS Survey components, visit the IPEDS Reporting Components information page.

IPEDS collects data on postsecondary education in the United States in the following eight areas, organized by a three part collection cycle.  The collection cycle begins each August and ends by the following April. Institutional data is then verified before publication.  Typically, published IPEDS reports contain previous academic year information. All IPEDS reports contain aggregated institutional level data.

Data Feedback Reports

Data feedback reports are provided to each institution at the end of a verified IPEDS data collection cycle. The Data Feedback Report (DFR) provides Snow College with (1) a streamlined summary of information provided during the collection cycle; (2) a context for institutions to examine the data submitted to IPEDS; (3) comparative data against peer institutions for benchmarking and target/goal achievement; (4) a useful resource for institutional executives and their decision-making processes.  Data feedback reports are provided for the last five reporting cycles. Additional, prior year(s) Data Feedback Reports can be accessed via the IPEDS Data Center.
