Blackboard First Time Login Procedure

Blackboard (WebCT) are not usually available for student access until the first day of the semester. Only students who have registered and paid for the class will be able to access their online courses. To log into Blackboard (WebCT), students must:

• Know their "Student ID#".
• Know their email address through the the Badger Web access. (Students are automatically assigned an e-mail address in the Badger Web system when they enroll at Snow). This is the preffered method for email communication within the system.
• You must have an up-to-date browser on your personal computer. The Mozilla "Firefox" browser is the preferred browser application for use with the Blackboard/WebCT system. The Microsoft Internet Explorer, Apple Safari are known to have some limitation in use.

To login into a Snow College online course for the first time you will enter the following information into the Snow College "Log In" Screen.:

Username = this is your "Student ID#"
Password = this is the "Last 6 digits of your Student ID#"

Example of a typical Log In:
Username: 87654321
Password: 654321

NOTE: You can change your password after your initial login. To change your password go to the "My Settings" link after you have logged into the Blackboard/WebCT system. Your new password will go into effect the next time you log into the system.
