SNOW COLLEGE TO USE DANIEL'S FUND IN AIDING NEEDY STUDENTS
Application due March 1, 2006

January 23, 2006–Ephraim, Utah–Snow College is preparing to award the new Daniels Fund Scholarships to students who will begin school this fall. Snow was awarded $45,000 in the summer of 2005 from the Daniels Fund and will distribute the funds over the next five years. Scholarships from the fund will be given to Native Americans, alternative high school students, non-traditional students (26+ years old), correctional facility students and students from juvenile programs.

Students who fit the above profile should contact the Snow College Foundation at (435) 283-7052 for an application. The deadline is March 1. Applicants will need to include a personal letter, two letters of support that verify eligibility and complete an online FAFSA application.

Snow College shares a guiding principle with the Daniels Fund – a belief that boundless opportunity can exist for each and every individual through higher education.

The Daniels Fund was started in 1997 by the late Bill Daniels, former owner of the Utah Stars, and has been donating money to Utah schools ever since. The fund has provided over 800 scholarships and last year donated over $365,000 to four Utah state schools and one private school.
