"MAME" is a classic musical comedy about a wild, witty, and irresistible New York flapper with a heart of gold. Through the eyes of her young nephew Patrick, we come to know Mame's entourage of friends, extravagant follies and delirious escapades. "MAME" opened May 24, 1966, at the Winter Garden Theater (New York) and ran for 1508 performances and winning 3 Tony Awards. The show is based on a novel by Patrick Dennis and play by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee. Music and lyrics were written by Jerry Herman.

While many people haven't seen "Mame," the music is familiar including the well-known "We Need a Little Christmas," "Bosom Buddies," "If He Walked Into My Life," and "Mame."

Snow's production features a cast of 34, orchestra of 27 and staff of 14. Featured players include: Ellie Durrant, Danae Ahlstrom, Michael Anderson and Sterling Young with Annemarie Neff, Jordan Christansen, Tyler Stull, Tommy Chen and John Ericson. The olderst member of the cast is Dawnave Funk, 68, who lives in Fairview. She plays Mother Burnside, Mame's mother-in-law. The youngest member is Brad Clawson, 8, of Mt. Pleasant. Brad is an elementary student who plays Mame's grandnephew. Directing the show is Ivo Peterson, a Snow instructor in the theatre arts department.
