Ventriloquist Terry Fator makes his first college appearance in Ephraim

EPHRAIM - Ventriloquist Terry Fator will be taking his show on the road to Ephraim.

The winner of NBC's Americas Got Talent is set to perform Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. in Snow Colleges Horne Activity Center.

Terry Fator is a Dallas native, who recently won the hearts of America and the $1 million title for AMERICA'S GOT TALENT. For more than 32 years, Terry has combined his multi-talents as ventriloquist, celebrity impressionist, comedian, and singer and was just named the best new act in America. Terry has a unique way of making his characters sing (without moving his lips) like celebrities such as Garth Brooks, The Rat Pack, Roy Orbison, Tony Bennett, Elvis, Maroon Five, Etta James, Marvin Gaye, Louis Armstrong, Nat King and Natalie Cole, Gnarls Barkley, Brooks and Dunn, and even Kermit the Frog. He recently appeared on the Today Show, Ellen Show and had sold-out shows at the Las Vegas Hilton and in Branson.

Judge Sharon Osbourne called Fator "quite brilliant" and Piers Morgan said he was "the best ventriloquist I have ever seen."

Snow College will be Fator's first ever campus performance, a fact not lost on the school.

"We are so excited to have a performer of Terry's caliber here," said Lindsey Field, Snow's Director of Activities and Service. "We were just in the right time at the right place to get Terry to come perform."

Field said the news of Fator's performance, which will take place during the Inauguration week of Snow College President Scott L Wyatt, has created quite a stir.

At first, most people didn't believe it, she said.

Although tickets are selling fast some are still available. While Fator's shows usually cost about $50 a ticket, tickets at Snow start at $5, with reserved seating $15 and a special meet and greet opportunity for $30. Call Snow College Student Life at 435-283-7121 for tickets or more information.
