EPHRAIM, Utah—October 7, 2002—Snow College today announced the first annual homecoming spectacular to be performed Friday, November 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Activity Center on Snow’s main campus. All proceeds from the event will go to Snow’s general scholarship fund. Tickets are $5 for the general public and $3 for students. Children 11 and under will be admitted free. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by dialing 435-283-7121.
This year’s spectacular, entitled ‘The Spirit of Snow,’ highlights Snow’s history – from the 1888 Snow Academy class of 120 students to this year’s 2002 college of nearly 3,000 students. The spectacular will feature Snow’s A Cappella Choir, the jazz/show choir – Ascension, Jazz Ensemble and Wind Symphony as well as some special guests.
“We hope the homecoming spectacular encourages Snow alumni to come back to campus and celebrate the ‘Spirit of Snow’ with students and community members,” said Dr. Mark Ammons, department chair of the Horne School of Music. “For the past few years our homecoming focus has been current students. We want to broaden that focus and bring current and past students together.”
