SNOW HOMECOMING WEEK OFFERS ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS

Football Game with Scottsdale and Dances for Students and Community Members Highlight Week-long Events

 

EPHRAIM, Utah—October 19, 2004—Snow College will have many activities on the Ephraim campus prior to the Homecoming game against Scottsdale on Saturday, October 23 at 1:30 p.m. Activities include everything from bed races and a movie night to the Homecoming dance.

Wednesday, October 20

·        Students will begin the week with a black light volleyball competition starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Activity Center.

Thursday, October 21

·        There will be a movie night at 7:00 p.m. in the Greenwood Student Center. “Shrek II” will be featured and admission is free.

Friday, October 22

·        Activities for the day begin with Bed Races at 2:00 p.m. at the Bell Tower. Campus clubs will construct beds on wheels that relate to their club and race them down the side walk between the Humanities building and the Greenwood Student Center.

·        Later that night there will be an Eclipse Concert at 7:00 p.m. in the Eccles Center. Tickets will be $10 for the community and $6 for students with an ID.

·        At 9:00 p.m. that evening there will be a stomp at the institute building west of Snow’s main campus.

Saturday, October 23

·        The annual 5K race begins at 6:00 a.m. in front of the Activity Center.

·        The annual homecoming parade begins at 11:00 a.m. traveling from 300 South on Main in Ephraim, and turning right onto College Avenue. The parade ends at the Greenwood Student Center.

·        Kick off for Snow’s homecoming game against Scottsdale will be at 1:30 p.m.

·         The homecoming celebration will end with a dance beginning at 9:00 p.m. The dance will be held in three locations: The Greenwood Student Center where they’ll play top 40 music, the church by the Activities Center where they’ll play western swing music and the Noyes Building where there will be a live band. Tickets for the dance are $10 for a couple. There is an option to buy Eclipse tickets and dance tickets together for $19 a couple.


 

Snow College

Snow College, founded in 1888, serves approximately 3,000 students at its Ephraim campus. The college provides general education and applied technology programs leading to Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science and Associate of Pre-Engineering degrees, and certificates of completion in a number of occupational areas.  Once owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Snow College became a state college in 1932.
