Leadership & Service Transcript

The Leadership & Service Transcript can be used in the following ways:

  1. To document your personal record of leadership & service
  2. To provide a faculty or staff member a resource when you request a letter of recommendation.
  3. To use as a referral resource when applying for a scholarship, fellowship, summer employment, internship, etc.
  4. To be included with your application to a graduate or professional school.
  5. To supplement your resume when seeking employment or scholarship applications.

The Leadership and Service Transcript will provide you with the opportunity to document your involvement in organizations and service while attending Snow College.  These organizations include the following:

  1. Student Organizations:  Positions of leadership, club officer, program chair, or a committee member, etc.
  1. Snow College Community Partners: Service such as volunteering for an agency, and service as part of an activity (i.e. club members repairing playground equipment).
  1. Sports Club or Intramurals:  Leadership or service as an officer in sports clubs or intramural activities.
  1. Awards & Recognition:  Formal recognition from any of the academic divisions or Snow College Administration (i.e. Student of the Year) , etc.
  1. Performance Arts:  Participation in a public performing art activity either as a member of a group or individually such as a cast member or technician in a production providing that what you do is beyond class requirements.
  1. Professional or Educational Development:  Participation in workshops or seminars that are outside the classroom.  (i.e. symposia, workshops, conferences, other)
  1. Group or Individual Service Projects:  Campus or Community Service.
  1. Service Learning Class:  Completion of any of the official service learning classes approved at Snow College

 

The Service Scholar’s Recognition Award  is also indicated on the student’s academic transcript but can  be  part of the Leadership & Service Transcript. 

           
To have entries made on your official Leadership & Service Transcript, you must do the following two things:

  1. Complete the Student Leadership & Service Transcript Application and return it to the Student Life Office.  This form will initiate an electronic file for you.
  1. Complete a Validation Form for each Leadership or Service experience. This should be submitted at the end of each semester and at least two months before you will need an official copy. 

Your Leadership & Service Transcript will be stored electronically in the Student Life Office.  It will be available only to you.  If you wish a copy, it will be mailed to your home address at your request.  There will be a fee of $2.00 charged for each copy mailed to you.
