Matrix makes stronger
AMARYAH NUCKOLS
On Tuesday, October 10, the BAAD Club held its Matrix Group meeting, which takes place every Tuesday on the second floor of the GSC. There were about 15 people at the group, each of whom had the opportunity to share their opinions. Matrix Group is designed to help students assist others to become better people, and in the process become better people themselves. At the beginning of the meeting, it is explained that every personal story is held confidential and does not leave the room, but participants are welcome and encouraged to share the things they learn with others.

Date It Up, Ephraim
SARA HANSEN
Snow College and Ephraim in general provide many growing opportunities, learning experiences, challenges, etc., for the common college student. One such challenge that is presented to students of Snow College, especially the fellows of Snow College, is what to do for a date, more specifically, the first date. Well ladies and gents that’s why this article is here. It’s going to bust out the top five dos and don’ts of Ephraim style dating.
The first dating don’t is: Do not bring the date home to meet the family. Ladies and gents, the date does not want to meet mom and pop on the first hit. It’s actually a little scary and definitely awkward because the first date is all about having fun not picking the wedding colors. Just keep that in mind. However, for Sanpete natives it might be impossible to go somewhere without running into a family member, so this don’t is most likely forgivable.

'Miracle Worker' coming to theater
ADAM CHAPPELL
On the evening of October 9, the Snow College Theatre department hosted auditions for their new production, “The Miracle Worker.”
Melissa Memmott, stage manager for this production said, “I’ll have to admit; at first I was worried about the turnout. It seemed like we would not have a very solid cast. But after callbacks, and we brought the kids in, it all came together, and it was pretty obvious, for me, of who should play what part.”
Calsita Fisher, sophomore at Snow College, said, “Auditions are always great!” Fisher later clarifies the significance of this production by saying, “This time we had to be prepared with a monologue, and it was fascinating to see everyone’s performance.”

Snow College dancers get a much needed new home
SARAH PERRY
For years the dance program at Snow College has been practically nonexistent. They have been pushed from place to place to practice, anywhere that there was room.
But now, Snow is putting in funds for a new dance studio. It will be 40' X 80' which is a very good size and shape for technique and performance in classes. There will be permanent and portable barres, mirrors, storage space and several windows for natural light. It will be another addition to the Activities Center.
Sarah Hunter, a student and dancer at Snow stated, “ I think that it’s good that they are finally realizing that dancers need their own area to practice in and not to just put us where there is an open spot.”
