Division of Social and Behavioral Science

The Division of Social and Behavioral Science offers course work designed to satisfy many needs. Those intending eventual careers in the discipline areas listed below will find courses suitable to the lower-division (freshman and sophomore year) preparation.

Other courses should also be integral parts of the "general" or "liberal" education of any college student. They foster understanding and appreciation of our world, our social structure and institutions, and of ourselves as dynamic human personalities. Finally, they may provide one of life's most satisfying personal experiences, learning for the sheer joy of learning.
