Faux Painting Workshop

Faux painting artisans transformed the look of soft pine or plain walls by simulating the appearance of marble, hard wood or stone. Students learn to implement these paint finishes to transform their surroundings. Emphasis is placed on wall treatments using paint, gold leaf, and texture medium to achieve sophisticated effects of pattern, design and color. Students learn to simulate expensive material, such as marble, stone, and verdigris. In a hands-on environment, students also learn old world techniques such as Fresco Art, Sgraffito, European-Dry-Wash Techniques and Venetian Plaster.
