Faculty & Staff
The theatre faculty at Snow College consists of three faculty members, each of whom have either a Ph.D and/or a Master of Fine Arts degree in theatre. They are specifically trained in the areas of theatre history and literature, scenic design, acting, directing, and technical theatre. In addition to their academic qualifications they bring a broad range of experience in professional theatre from within Utah and elsewhere.

Dr. Christison holds a Ph.D degree in Theatre from the University of Utah, a Master of Fine Arts degree from Utah State University, and a Master of Education degree from Westminster College of Salt Lake City.
Dr. Christison has taught theatre and directed over 60 plays and musicals over 30 years at Snow College. His personal acting and directing credits apart from Snow College include guest artist status with the Pioneer Theatre Company, the Old Lyric Repertory Company, Utah State Theatre, and the Lagoon Opera House. In addition to teaching at Snow College Ephraim, Dr. Christison has taught continuing education courses at the Central Utah Correctional Facility and Snow College Richfield. He has received "Outstanding Teacher" awards on three occasions, most recently the prestigious Madsen Master Teacher award. He received an "Award of Merit in Technology Delivered Instruction" from the Utah State System of Higher Education in 2004. In 2006 his paper entitled, “Teaching Critical Thinking through Dramatic Literature” was selected as the Best Paper in the Education Division at the Utah Academy of Science, Arts, and Letters annual conference.
At Snow College he has played a prominent role in the maintenance and development of the theatre program and occupied line administrative positions from theatre department chair to Dean of both the Humanities and Arts Division and the Fine and Performing Arts Division.
In his leisure time between directing two main-stage productions per year, producing the Black Box Series,
teaching, and serving as Theatre Department Chair, Dr. Christison operates a Amateur (Ham) radio station
(KE7NZE), fishes, hunts, bikes in the mountains, and plays with his fat Chihuahua, Teddy.

Brad began his theatre career working at the Kaiserslautern Performing Arts Centre in West Germany. He holds a B.A. in Theatre from
Brigham Young University and an M.F.A. in Lighting Design & Technical Direction from Utah State University. He has served as Technical Director and/or Lighting Designer for the Old Lyric Repertory Company,
Southeastern Louisiana University Theatre Department, University of Northern Colorado Theatre Department, Eccles Center in Park city, and numerous other university and community theatre and dance organizations. In Addition, he has actively worked as a Scenic Designer, Director and Playwright.
