Next Steps

What do I do now that I’ve been admitted to Snow College?

1. Housing
If haven't found housing yet, it is time visit campus and start looking. If you plan to live on campus, call 435-283-7280 or email us at housing@snow.edu for a housing application. We offer both cooking and non-cooking facilities at a very reasonable rate. We recently reduced the number of on-campus halls, so if you are interested don’t wait.

All off- campus housing is very close to campus. The popular and/or most affordable locations go very quickly.

2. Financial Aid & Jobs
Snow College awards grants, loans and campus jobs through the Federal Financial Aid Program. The Application (Free Application For Federal Student Aid) is available online, at your local high school or through our Financial Aid office. You are encouraged to apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov as this expedites the process considerably. If you need assistance applying, you can always call us at 1-800-848-3399 or (435) 283-7133 and we can assist you. Actual notification about financial aid awards won’t go out until after June 1.

3. Freshman Class Registration & Advisement
Because we care about your success, advisement is required at Snow before you can actually sign up for classes. Advisement for new, incoming freshman for Fall 2006 begins in April. Please call to schedule a one-on-one appointment with an advisor. If you are out out-of-state, please call us for other options. Beginning June 1st, in-state students can be advised via the internet, and then may register online.

When registering for classes consider our new student orientation program is called Start Smart – because that is what you will be if you attend … Smart! Not only is this a great way to jump start into college, but by registering and attending the entire program you will receive college credit. Check out the program on the web and talk to your advisor when you register for classes.

You will be required to pay your student fees, regardless of any scholarships you may hold. These fees are used to help support various facilities and student programs such as the activity center, theatre productions, computer labs, insurance, etc. and are required to hold your classes.

4. Buying Books
Once you have your class schedule, you can come to the Book Store in the Greenwood Student Center to buy your books. We have friendly people there who will help you locate what you need. The bookstore can be reached at 435-283-7211, or via email at snow@bkstr.com.

NOTE: ALL students should come prepared with enough funding to purchase their books. Financial aid checks, for grants or loans, and scholarship reimburesements are generally not available until classes have begun.

5. Paying Tuition and other required expenses
Tuition covers the cost or your classes (based on the number of credits you take). Additional fees, above and beyond student fees, may be required for some courses to cover lab supplies or other course materials. The cashiers can provide a complete list of the fees you owe once you have your class schedule. If you plan to purchase a meal card on campus the cashier’s office in the Greenwood Student Center can assist you. To make payments with a credit card, please call 435-283-7256. Mail check or money order to:

Cashier’s Office
150 College Ave
Ephraim, UT 84627
