The Lodge

The Lodge, a favorite of our guests, was built by the CCC's in the 1930's to replace an original building that burned.

This building serves as a dormitory which accommodates thirteen guests. It has a large living room with a fireplace and a dining room, both of which serve well for small workshops or breakout sessions. The Lodge is heated by a large wood/coal burning forced air furnace

During the renovation, the College gave great attention to historical detail. The original paneling on the walls was removed and stored while the electrical wiring was brought up to code. The paneling was then carefully replaced, and the floors were stripped and finished to reveal their original beauty.

At the right is a photograph of the fireplace in the Lodge. Our guests frequently sit around a fire to relax and visit after the workshops have concluded. It has also been discovered that some of our guests have roasted marshmallows in the fireplace.

On the main floor there is a room for two with a private half-bath. Also on the main floor are two rooms, each with two bunk beds, and a shared bathroom.

On the second floor there is a room with two twin beds and a wash basin. If we need to, we can squeeze another person into this room.

The Lodge also has a complete kitchen.
