Dr. Steve Meredith is the Director of the Horne School of Music at Snow College, where he also serves as the Director of Choral Activities. He received his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Choral Music Education from the University of Utah, and his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting from Arizona State University.
A performer of "uncommon intelligence and musicality" (San Antonio Express-News) with a tone described as "seamless and superb" (Arizona Republic), Dr. Meredith is one of the most sought-after concert performers in the United States. A favorite of conductor Robert Shaw, Dr. Meredith sang Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis and 9th Symphony under his direction with orchestras throughout the United States. Dr. Meredith has also appeared regularly withother notable conductors, including Margaret Hillis, Hermann Michael, Stewart Robertson, Robert Page, Thomas Sanderling, Christopher Wilkins, Joseph Flummerfelt, Craig Jessop and Jon Washburn in appearances with the Chicago Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Florida Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony, Utah Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, San Antonio Symphony, La Jolla Symphony and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Dr. Meredith has appeared in concert on national television and radio in both the US and Canada.
Dr. Meredith has also had a significant career as a studio singer. He has appeared in films, film trailers and on many national and local commercial recordings. He has been heard nationally and internationally in work for IMAX films, ABC Sports, Xena: Warrior Princess and the LDS Church. He has also released several of his own commercial recordings in recent years.
As a conductor, Dr. Meredith's choirs have been in great demand for their flexibility of tone and ability to perform a wide variety of literature. His choirs have appeared at local, regional and national education conferences, and have appeared in recordings for several commercial projects. Recent performances include Star Wars Live (International Tour) and touring performances of Video Games Live with the Utah, Las Vegas and Golden West Symphony Orchestras. He regularly serves as a guest conductor and clinician with groups throughout the US.
