In FastTrac New Venture™, you'll write a feasibility plan on your venture's strengths and weaknesses, examining your idea from every angle. You'll also work closely with other aspiring entrepreneurs sharing ideas and strategies, and laying the groundwork for future business relationships. Through FastTrac NewVenture, you'll discover whether the life of an entrepreneur is right for you.
In FastTrac NewVenture, you'll develop:
- Knowledge of the feasibility planning process.
- A feasibility plan that follows an assessment template designed to refine your ideas and assess your venture's viability.
- Research skills you can apply to the workplace or any future business venture.
- An understanding of the most common business entry strategies, including their pluses and minuses.
- A network of entrepreneurial peers.
- Valuable mentor relationships.
- A sense of yourself as an entrepreneur.
- A library of business reference materials, including an interactive CD-ROM that helps you write and build a feasibility plan.

You'll receive a participant manual, a planning workbook, class handouts, and and online access to the nationally acclaimed James J. Hill Reference Library. Topics covered include:

Modules based on well formulated materials are presented by qualified facilitators. Additionally, experts in key areas present as guest speakers with real-world insights and offer valuable advice. For example, during the session in which accounting is covered, someone such as a CPA may speak, when legal issues are covered an attorney may present, etc.

For the participant manual, a planning workbook, class handouts, informed access to valuable online resources, an interactive CD-ROM, approximately 30 hours of professional instruction, one-on-one consulting outside of class time, the opportunity to learn from numerous expert guest speakers, and the development of a valuable network of key people to assist you in business, you will pay less than what most people pay for a single month's car payment! (The cost of running your business without taking a FastTrac course is prone to be FAR higher!)
Zions Bank is a statewide sponsor of SBDC entrepreneurial training courses. This support reduces the cost of this course from it's normal fee of $425.00 to only $297.50. Those who successfully complete the course are eligible for a "completion scholarship" in the form of a rebate of $127.50 (also from Zions Bank). Sanpete County businesses who successfully complete the course will receive an additional rebate of $100 from the Sanpete County Economic Develoment office. Thus, net out-of-pocket cost for you may be as low as $70.00.
