Club Responsibilities

Recognition: Campus recognition of your organization comes with many campus privileges. These privileges are listed below:

  • Funding through the Associated Students of Snow College.
  • Opportunities to raise money through campus events.
  • A main page on the Snow College site.
  • Publication in major Snow College materials such as the College Catalog.
  • Opportunities to serve on campus boards and other leadership positions.
  • Participation in Inter-Club Council--a leadership development class for club leaders and members.
  • Greater representation of individual needs through the Snow College Student Government.
  • The ability to use college vehicles for club travel.
  • The ability to use other campus resources for club events.
  • A mailbox in the Student Life communication center (pending).
  • A great leadership experience to use for employment or scholarship.

Responsibilities: As part of being recognized by the college, you assume higher expectations than the average student. These responsibilities pertain to both your organization collectively (as a group) as well as individually (as members). Such responsibilities are as follows:

  • Maintain good academic standing with Snow College by completing 12 credit hours each semester and maintaining a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Maintain good social standing with Snow College by abiding by the Drug and Alcohol Policy as well as sustaining Snow College's Student Rights and Responsibilities; thus, preserving the atmosphere of Snow College as an exceptional institution of higher education.
  • Actively serve the college by providing involvement opportunities to new and returning students as well as participating in required campus events.
  • Provide service to the campus and the community by completing a service learning project each semester.
  • Participate in Inter-Club Council's weekly meetings. Funding for you club is contingent on your active role in this organization.
  • Honor the name and all other associations of Snow College with the up most dignity and respect, which means conducting your club business and behavior in a manner that speaks highly of and uplifts the Snow College experience.

If your club and its members fail to support these responsibilities, club recognition by Snow College will come into question. In extreme circumstances, a club's charter may be suspended or revoked and the initial funding of $150 may be required to be returned.
