II. AUTHORITY & RESPONSIBILITY Daily responsibility for good conduct rests with students as individuals. All members of the College Community are expected to use reasonable judgments in their daily college life and to show due concern for the welfare and rights of others. The ultimate responsibility and authority to enforce Students’ Rights and Responsibilities rests with the President of the College. The President may, and has, delegated responsibility for the administration of the discipline system to the Vice President for Student Success and the Dean of Students. The Vice President for Student Success delegates responsibility to various judicial bodies and administrators. All procedures followed and decisions made by authorized hearing officers and bodies are subject to Vice Presidential and Presidential review. The College reserves the right to take any necessary and appropriate action to protect the safety and well being of the Campus Community and its students. This includes contacting the parents of an individual student where his/her wellbeing may be at risk, such as in the case of attempted suicide, illness or accident. |
