Resident Academic Scholarships

New, incoming Freshman, can view our academic awarding criteria. This chart will show you if you qualify for an academic scholarship. These scholarships are based on cumulative high school GPA and composite ACT or SAT I scores. New students must take the national ACT test before January 1 to meet our February 1 scholarship deadline. If you have not taken the test before this date, please call us at 800-848-3399 and we will provide appropriate options.

NOTE: While you may qualify for an academic scholarship, these awards are awarded based on available funds. We encourage students to apply as early as possible.

Scholastic Merit ($400/year)
One year scholarship
Academic Merit ($800/year)
One year scholarship
Academic Excellence (resident tuition)
Renewable scholarship

Continuing and transfer student Academic Scholarships are based on the students cumulative GPA on college credit and available funds. Students applying for this scholarship must complete at least one semester with a minimum of 12 semester credits to qualify. Any Snow College student with more than 63 credits must petition the scholarship committee for consideration for any Snow College scholarship.

Transfer Student is defined (for scholarship purposes only) as any student that has completed at least 20 credits of college coursework at another college or university after high school graduation, or GED, who intends to transfer that credit to Snow College and continue his/her education. Students applying for an academic scholarship must have completed at least one semester with a minimum of 12 semester credits from a regionally accredited college or University.

Note: all academic scholarships are “waivers” with NO cash value.
