Practical Nursing Program Requirements

Pre-application requirements: Must be completed before April 15th.

Prerequisite courses:

All prerequisite courses must be completed with a minimum grade of “C”. Those accepted into the program must have all prerequisites completed before the LPN program begins in August. If a prerequisite course is not completed by the application deadline, a grade of “C” will be used when figuring the prerequisite GPA. These three classes are the only classes used in figuring your prerequisite GPA.

Co-requisite course::

This course must be completed with a minimum grade of “C”. This course can be taken simultaneously with the LPN courses; however, due to the intense LPN course work, it is recommended that it be completed before the LPN program. Points will be given if the course is completed by the application deadline with a “B-” (2.7) grade or better.

Suggested courses: Highly recommended but not required.

Points will be given if the suggested courses are completed with a minimum grade of “B-” by the application deadline.

For more information regarding prerequisite courses, you can contact Student Success. Richfield 435-893-2211 or Ephraim 435-283-7313. The above courses may be taken at any accredited college or university; official transcripts are required to determine how courses will transfer to Snow College.
