Course Description: 

This printmaking workshop focuses on a non-toxic, inexpensive, low-tech approach of making your own drypoint plates from illustration board and combining the beauty of the drawn line with the rich textures and saturated coloured layers of the multiple drop monotype.

Biography: 

Jenny Robinson is an Artist originally from London. She studied for her BFA in Printmaking in the United Kingdom and is now living in San Francisco. She Moved to the States in 2001 and has exhibited widely, both in the here and the in the UK. She has won numerous awards and is a regular visiting Artists at Universities around the country and has been an Artist in Residence at the Kala Art Institute for over 10 years.  Jenny is represented by the Davidson Gallery in Seattle, Warnock Fine Arts in Palm Springs, Vertical Gallery in Chicago, and the Kala Art Institute Gallery in Berkeley, CA. Her work is in many collections, including the Library of Congress Graphic Arts Collection, Washington DC,  the Achenbach Fine Print collection, San Francisco,  and the Ashmolean Museum , Oxford UK.  She is a Passionate exponent of Printmaking and its place in the Art world and has taught printmaking workshops all over the country.  She is a member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers (RE), London, the Los Angeles Printmaking Society (LAPS) and Boston printmakers.
