What is a Badger Bucks Card?
A Badger Bucks Card serves as an identification card. It communicates by the magnetic stripe on the back of the card to computers in the Badger Den (Student Center Cafeteria), and in Buster's Bistro (Huntsman Library), and the Bookstore on the Ephraim campus if you have funded a Badger Bucks Card account. This card also serves as a meal card for those students who live in on-campus housing.

Do I have to get a Badger Bucks Card?
No, it is another option for faculty/staff and students to be able to buy food at the Badger Den and at Buster's Bistro and supplies and books at the bookstore on the Ephraim campus. However, it will be needed, if you run out of your 100 complementary tuition paid prints at the library. You can only pay for printing with your Badger Bucks account.

Do I have to put money into a Badger Bucks Card Account?
Funding a Badger Bucks Card is an easy way to make transactions, as it will act as a debit card. You can make a deposit on line by using a credit card.

Can I get cash from my Badger Bucks Card?
The Badger Bucks Card is not an ATM and can only be used for goods and services at the Badger Den and at Buster's Bistro and the bookstore on the Ephraim campus.

Can I fund a Badger Bucks Card with a credit card?
Yes. Visa or Master Card

Can I fund a Badger Bucks Card account with a debit card?
Yes. Visa or Master Card debit transactions are processed like credit transactions.

Can I add money to my Badger Bucks account on line?
Yes. Add Badger Bucks Now

Can my parents put money on my card?
Yes. They will need to know your Badger ID Number. Add Badger Bucks Now

Can I pay my Student Account with a credit Card?
Yes, but not with your Badger Bucks Card.

My BadgerBucks Card is lost or stolen, what do I do?
Visit the Badger Bucks Card Office (GSC 205). The card will be deactivated so that no one can use it.

How do I replace my card?
Visit the Registration Office in the GSC to have a new card printed. Replacement cards are $10.00.

My card isn’t working. Now What?
Visit the Cashiers Office in the GSC and let them determine why and fix it.

Should I send my meal plan payment to the Badger Bucks Office?
No. Your meal plan payment goes to the Cashier’s Office.

Will Badger Bucks carry over to the next semester?
Yes. You must show some activity on your card during the past eight (8) consecutive months.


If you do not use or re-load a Badger Bucks account for eight (8) consecutive calendar months, the Account will be considered inactive and has zero value it will be closed.

If I don’t use my card during the summer break will it be considered inactive and be closed?
If you show some activity on your card during the past eight (8) consecutive months. It will not be closed down.
