This week we want to remind everyone about our interlibrary loan services. Through our affiliation with OCLC WorldShare, we literally have access to thousands of libraries throughout the world.  With this access we can borrow books, CDs, DVDs, and magazine articles from any one of these libraries.

Often, when you are doing research, you’ll find a reference to a book or journal we don’t carry at Snow. All you need to do is fill out the ILL request form and we’ll work on getting it here for you. If you don’t have this link, on the left side of the library home page you can click on ‘Interlibrary Loan’.

Fill this page out as completely as you can. For a book, we mostly need the title and the author.  If you are requesting an article, it is helpful to have the publication’s name, the name of the article, and the author.

Articles can be uploaded to us in as little as a day, but usually take a couple of days to get to us. Books must be mailed and will generally take a little longer to arrive. This is a great service for widening the scope of your research.
