HOMECOMING WEEK AT SNOW INCLUDES EVENTS
FOR ALUMNI AND SANPETE COUNTY RESIDENTS
 

Week Highlights Include Homecoming Concert Friday and Football Game Saturday

EPHRAIM, Utah—October 17, 2005-Snow College today announced a number of homecoming activities for alumni, students and the public October 27 - 29. Additions to the traditional homecoming events include a Homecoming concert and marching bands in the annual parade and at halftime of the football game.

Thursday, October 27
The day begins with the fourth annual Bed Races. Snow clubs will race from the Rasmussen Bell Tower.

In the evening students or community members may challenge President Benson in a one-on-one basketball game beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Activity Center.

At 7:30 p.m., black light volleyball begins in the blue gymnasium of the Activity Center. A student dance will also be taking place in the blue gymnasium simultaneously with the volleyball games.

Friday, October 28
Friday is Snow Spirit Day. All campus and community members are encouraged to wear their Snow apparel and colors. The day features a homecoming concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts. The concert features an array of talented students and students groups from the Horne School of Music. Admission is $1.

Saturday, October 29
Saturday festivities begin with the 5K Run/Walk at 8:00 a.m. at the Bell Tower.

The annual homecoming parade begins at 11:00 a.m. and travels from 300 South Main in Ephraim, turns right on College Avenue and finishes at the Greenwood Student Center. The parade will feature Snow's marching band along with the Mountain Crest High School marching band.

The homecoming football game features Snow College hosting New Mexico Military in Badger Stadium at 1:30 p.m. At half time, Miss Snow will be introduced and the Mountain Crest marching band will perform.

Dances for students, alumni and the community begin at 8:30 p.m. A disc jockey will be playing Top 40 music in the Greenwood Student Center. Crash Pontiac and the Hubcaps will perform live fifties and sixties music in Founder's Hall of the Noyes Building. Dance tickets are $8 before Saturday and $10 at the door. The price includes admission to both dances.
