EPHRAIM - Snow College will hold two evening concerts with world renowned musicians
as part of its Summer Flute Festival next week.
Linda Chesis, flutist of the Manhattan School of Music, the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College and New York University will perform June 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Snow College Eccles for Performing Arts in Ephraim.
Chesis has been the top prizewinner at Paris and Barcelona International Competitions and at the National Flute Association Competition. She is the recipient of many awards including a Solo Recitalists Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Chesis has been the subject of numerous television and radio broadcasts and her performances can be regularly heard on National Public Radios Performance Today.
April Clayton will also perform. Clayton is a native of Utah and professor at BYU, who just returned from teaching and concertizing in Paris and other European cities.
Clayton received her Doctorate Degree from the Juilliard School of Music in New
York. She has also won many competitions and performed worldwide.
