Utah Clarinet Festival

The Utah Clarinet Festival features clarinet performances, clinics, and master classes. Clarinetists of all ages and skill levels are welcome to attend. The festival is organized and hosted by the clarinet professors at Utah colleges and universities. This is the ninth annual festival.

The 2020 Utah Clarinet Festival will be held at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

  • When:Saturday, February 29, 2020, 8:15 am registration opens; 6:30 pm closing concert
  • Who:This event is for all clarinetists of any age and skill level. All are welcome! Our special guest artist this year is Richie Hawley of Rice University and retired principal clarinet of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Prof. Hawley will present classes and perform on our artist recital. Other presenters and performers include clarinet artists from across the state.
  • What:Throughout the conference there will be a variety of masterclasses, workshops, and performances to choose from. We have a number of vendors with clarinets, equipment, music, etc. on display with nearby rooms for you to try out the equipment. In addition, there will be clarinet choir rehearsals and a clarinet choir closing concert.
  • Where:Utah Valley University, Orem, Utah in the Noorda Center for the Performing Arts. Registration will take place in the lobby.
  • Cost:$20 pre-registration (closes Feb. 28); $25 at the door (registration fee includes access to all events, a place in the clarinet choir, and admission to the artist recital, and more!)
  • Parking:The closes parking lots are M23 and M29 as shown in this parking map. Parking is free on Saturdays, so park wherever you like.
