1975 Football Team Returns to Snow College for 40-Year Reunion

Football Reunion, Homecoming weekend, September 25 & 26

Ephraim, UT – The 1975 Snow College Football Team is returning to campus September 25 and 26 for a 40-year reunion and will participate in many of the homecoming weekend events.

The 1975 team had a disappointing start, losing their first six games. However, the tide turned in a showdown against the University of Utah JV team, when the Badgers won 21-7. Using this momentum, the team went undefeated the rest of the season. Over the next few years, they won three Intermountain Collegiate Athletic Conference championships and earned a No. 4 national ranking and an invitation to a bowl game. “I am so proud of that hardworking, dedicated group of young men that took on that challenge... and I thought it was about timewe let them know that we have not forgotten what they did. Snow College has not forgotten!” said Dave Arslanian, former Snow College head coach.

This reunion begins an exciting new tradition of inviting past football teams to return for a 40-year anniversary celebration, giving current students and athletes the opportunity to engage with these notable alumni. “We are excited to have these successful athletes return to campus and be part of Homecoming and we hope they enjoy their time here, adding to the spirit of Snow College,” said Rob Nielson, Snow College athletic director.

These returning alumni athletes will be featured in many of the festivities over Homecoming weekend. They will appear on a float, participate in the tailgate activities prior to the game, and then be recognized during the halftime program. Following the game, there is an alumni barbeque at the Greenwood Student Center, and all alumni are invited to attend. For more information, please contact the Snow College Advancement Office at 435-462-7060 or visit http://www.snow.edu/alumni.
