Snow College to Hold Summer Media Composition Workshop

Ephraim, UT – The Snow College Horne School of Music is pleased to announce its summer Media Composition Workshop, which will be held July 7-9, 2016.

The workshop will include instruction by successful, renowned composers including Aton Sanko, Emmy Award winning composer for films and mini-series; Sam Cardon also an Emmy Award winner who has worked on World of Warcraft, IMAX films and a variety of television series; Philip Klein, composer for film, television, and games, including Disney, Lionsgate, ABC’s television series Revenge and Call of Duty; and Chad Cannon, active composer, and orchestrator who worked on the Hobbit trilogy, Godzilla and Illumination’s The Secret Life of Pets. The focus of the workshop will be hands-on music composition and evaluation for a variety of media including film, video, gaming, digital and interactive media. 

“We are incredibly excited to have these outstanding composers join the workshop,” said Vance Larsen, Department Head for the Snow College Horne School of Music.  “This workshop is a unique opportunity to learn from composers at the top of their field right here at Snow College.”

The workshop is open to the public (ages 16 and older) and will take place on the main campus, with some classes being held on West Campus.
