Knowing yourself is the first step to narrowing down a major. Three areas to examine as you think about choosing a major:

1. Interests—Curiosity, concern about or attention to something

3. Values— A principle or standard that is important or desirable to you

Interests/Skills/Values

As you explore your interests, abilities and values, think about the things you dislike as well. Dislikes are helpful in narrowing down your path!
