Fire Evacuation Protocol

FIRE EVACUATION PROTOCOL

REGARDLESS OF THE SITUATION, FIRE ALARM GOES OFF, (HORNS AND STROBES) EVERYONE LEAVES THE BUILDING! Even if you think it is a false alarm.

IF AN EMPLOYEE KNOWS THE ALARM IS FALSE DUE TO FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE, such as (Damage done to Fire Device, Pull Station, smoke in the main hallway corridor or other.)

YOU STILL EVACUATE, Call Dispatch immediately. 835-2345.

YOU remain outside the building until, the Fire Marshal, Ephraim Fire Department or Law Enforcement gives the OK to be back in

the building.

*No one but the Fire Department or Snow College Physical Facilities Personnel has authority to turn off the Fire Alarm System.

*Since all fire alarms come under the Federal Clery Act Requirement, you must report them to Snow College

Public Safety Office.
