Title: Basic Cosmetology Theory

Description: This theory course presents basic cosmetology practices, demonstrations of technical procedures, practical application of cosmetology skills, and identifies the responsibilities of the cosmetologist. Critical thinking skills will also be developed. Students will demonstrate competency through assignments and written tests.

This course is part of a required series to prepare students to take the National Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology Licensure Examination (NIC test). Students must be accepted into the Cosmetology/Barbering program to take this course.
