Charley Roetting

Charley Roetting (he/him) is an experienced acting and improvisation instructor at Snow College. With a BFA in Theatre (Acting Emphasis) from Northern Kentucky University and an MFA in Acting for Film from New York Film Academy, Charley brings a wealth of knowledge to his teaching. He has also earned certificates from the Upright Citizens Brigade and IO West (formerly Improv Olympic).

Charley has studied under notable figures in the industry, including award-winning screenwriter and playwright Ken Jones, and renowned actor/improvisers Eugene Cordero and Craig Cackowski. He has also benefited from the mentorship of The Groundlings legends Suzanne Kent and George McGrath, Shakespeare scholar Louis Fantasia, and Victory Theatre Center co-founders Maria Gobetti and Tom Ormeny.

Throughout his career, Charley has taught, performed, and directed in various locations including Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, New York City, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Dallas. Notable highlights include being a founding member of Homunculus Mask Theatre in New York, co-founding Thrashtown! and serving as the first student director with NYFA Ensemble West in Los Angeles, and performing at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival in Sibiu, Romania. He has also made significant contributions to organizations like OTRimprov and Improv Cincinnati in Cincinnati Ohio, and worked with Stomping Ground Comedy in Dallas. Charley also music directed and arranged the 2019 Producer's Pick of the Cincinnati Fringe Festival, Descent: A Murder Ballad.

In addition to their teaching and stage work, Charley has appeared in many regional commercials and short films. He is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.
