Biography

I was born in Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada. My family moved to the US when I was 4 and eventually settled in Meridian, Idaho. I graduated high school there and after taking a couple of years off of school, I started my college education a Boise State University. During my first year, I took a discrete math class and was fascinated by number theory and cryptography. I decided to study math and transferred to U of I because they had a better math program. After finishing my BS in mathematics, I decided to get a master's. When I completed my master's in mathematics, I worked for three years in academic support, helping students succeed in difficult courses. I then decided to get a second master's degree in statistics because that was my favorite part of my job and I was really interested in learning more. After completing that degree, I began teaching at Snow College in 2022.

I live in Richfield with my cat, Spot, who I like to take for walks in his stroller when the weather is good. I enjoy playing tabletop games, especially tabletop RPGs. I also crochet and cross stitch.
