About

My favorite part of mathematics is finding mental pictures that help me see how things fit together and how results and topics I teach could be expanded and improved.  I studied both analytic and algebraic number theory in graduate school and continue now to study and learn advanced topics in mathematics.   My learning and studying helps me code and create textbooks, videos, and SageMath activities for not only my students, but many others.

I love teaching and working together with my students.  In the classroom, I have my students be at the board most of the time in small groups actively engaged even during actual instruction.

Aside from math and teaching, first and foremost I am devoted to my faith and family.  My hobbies include playing instruments, singing, art, and running.
