Jann Anderson - 1973 Alum

    1. Tell us about your life post-Snow College (jobs, hobbies, families, etc.)

After I graduated from Snow in 1973 I went on to Utah State University and graduated from there in 1975 with a BS degree in Business Education. I worked for Social Service for one year and then taught Jr. High School for 4 years. I then married my best friend Boyd Anderson and stayed home for 17 years to raise 5 children. We also had the privilege of helping to raise 3 of my nephews for several years, which was an added blessing to us. I have worked as a part-time secretary at East Midvale Elementary for the past 16 years.

    2. How did Snow College contribute to your success in life?
Snow was a very positive time in my life and I am so grateful for the experience.
    3. Is there anything else you’d like to add?
I have kept busy by participating in PTA and in many church callings. I have worn out several automobiles taking kids to music lessons, ball games of all kinds and lots of church activities. I love to sew, read, quilt, and sing. I never pass up an opportunity to participate in music or to learn something new.
    4. What are some of your most memorable experiences at Snow College?
I am grateful for the experiences I had at Snow College. I have never had better teachers or people who cared about my success more than those who I had at Snow College. Three of my 5 children have graduated from Snow and they say the same thing about the quality of the people you meet there. The only fight I ever saw at a ball game was at Snow when they were playing Dixie State College. I wish I could remember the things that I learned in my biology class as clearly as I can remember that fight.
