After graduating from Manti High School I joined the Utah Army National Guard and
attended basic training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Following basic training I served
a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sydney,
Australia. Afterwards, I attended Snow College and served as an officer in the Associated
Men’s Society and as the LDSSA President and graduated with an AA degree. While at
Snow College I met Erin Allen and we were married on December 29, 2000. Upon graduation
from Snow I attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a BA degree in American
Studies. After which, I attended the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law and
graduated with a Juris Doctor Degree. I worked as a clerk for the honorable Sheila
Rappaport in the Denver District Court and worked for the law firms of Wachsmann and
Associates (Denver, Colorado) and Hansen, Wright, Eddy, & Haws (Pleasant Grove, Utah).
In 2010 I was hired as the City Manager for Ephraim, Utah. Additionally, I have taught
as an adjunct professor of Business Law at Snow College, serve on the Utah Local Governments
Trust Advisory Committee and on the board of directors for the SUU Leavitt Center
for Politics & Public Service. Erin and I have five children and love living in Ephraim
and being involved at Snow College.
