Tausha Marie Barclay Bentz- 2007 Alum

1. Where are you currently employed?

I am currently a Zumba and Hip Hop Hustle (aerobics) instructor at UVU.  I also teach aerobics at the MTC as a sub for the sister missionaries.  I teach Ballet and Jazz at Ruby Shoes dance studio.  I love all of my jobs, but my most important and rewarding job is being a mother and a homemaker.  I have been married for almost three years and have a beautiful little girl named Andrea Grace.  She is 16 months old and so extremely cute!

2. What are your hobbies?
I love to exercise/dance so my employment really satisfies my hobbies.  Besides dancing, I love to play games, cook, sew, blog, play the piano and violin, and sing.

3. How did Snow College contribute to your accomplishments?
I absolutely loved going to Snow College and I am very grateful that I went to a 2 year college first, before I attended BYU.  Snow College gave me confidence and leadership experience that help me stand out amongst a crowd of 33,000 students when I attended BYU.  Snow College helped me learn the skills that I needed to be successful in school and in life.  I am extremely grateful for the amazing professors that I had at Snow College.  Honestly, after attending a bigger university several of my professors at Snow College were better and more personal than my professors at BYU.  Especially Jonathan Bodrero, my math professor. Thank you so much Snow College for giving me such a rewarding experience.

4. What is your most memorable moment at Snow College?
I have two most memorable experiences at Snow College.  One of which would be my experience as the VP over Forums and Devotionals on the Institute Council.  I loved being involved with the Snow College Institute.  The teachers and staff were fantastic.  It was such a fun and exciting environment.  Thank you for giving me so many leadership opportunities and wonderful opportunities to make friends.  My second would definitely have to be the country dancing every Wednesday night.  I attended those dances faithfully.  I absolutely LOVED Snow College's country dancing.

5. What additional information would you like for other alumni to know about you?
I graduated from BYU in December 2009 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.  I have been married for almost 3 years to Steve Bentz from Tempe, Arizona.  We have a beautiful 16 month old daughter named Andrea Grace.  We currently live in Provo because my husband is in his second year at the BYU Law School.  He will graduate next year and then we will be off to pursue his career and our lives together. I love life and will forever be grateful for my experience at Snow College, especially the country dancing every Wednesday night!
