Employee Health & Wellness

Our Mission —

The Wellness Council functions to enhance and foster health and wellbeing of Snow College employees through the development of worksite wellness activities which improve or maintain the physical, social, emotional, occupational, and environmental health of employees.

Areas of Focus

SnowFit Physical Wellness
  • Physical wellness involves moving your body (exercise), eating well-balanced meals (nutrition), sleeping, managing stress, receiving preventative medical and dental care, etc.
 Facebook Social Wellness
  • Social wellness involves having a strong social network that can give you support and guidance when you are stressed or need stress relief. Additionally, these relationships can aid in the development of healthy relationships.
Emotional Emotional Wellness
  • Maintaining a healthy emotional life is important to overall health. Everything is interrelated, so improving your emotional health can effect other areas of your life. Consequently, other areas of your life can greatly impact your emotional health.
LinkedIn Occupational Wellness
  • Occupational wellness is the ability to achieve a balance between work and leisure time, addressing workplace stress and building relationships with co-workers.
 Dollar Sign  Financial Wellness
  • Financial Wellness—a subset of Occupational Wellbeing—means taking steps to live within your financial means, being financially prepared for emergencies, and planning for future financial health.
Earth Hands Environmental Wellness
  • Environmental wellness means taking care of your global environment and your personal surroundings. De-cluttering your personal spaces, recycling your trash, or volunteering to clean up your environment can improve health for all.
