In high school I was part of Student Government, loved it, and wanted a similar experience at college. As a Student Body Officer at Snow College I've gotten to meet so many amazing people, learn leadership skills, and make lots of friends! It is by far the best decision I've made at Snow.

Becoming a Student Body Officer has changed my life. Being part of this team has assisted me to become the leader that I have always been meant to be. I have learned to lead by example, and to always take initiative. When situations turn difficult you always stay positive. I have learned to show for others, and serve them in all circumstances. Student Life is an experience I will treasure for the rest of my life.

As a Student Body Officer, I've learned that the greatest illusion is that life should be perfect. Don't measure how valuable you are by the way you are treated. Always remember you matter, you're important, you're loved, and you bring to this world things no one else can. Nothing beats kindness, it sits quietly beyond all things. When the big things feel out of control, focus on what you love right under your nose.

Becoming an SBO has been one of the best decisions I have made. The sense of community you gain in like none other, I have made friendships that will last a life time with my team members and other students on campus. It has been an amazing opportunity to learn more about about myself and grow my skill set that will move forward with me in the future. I will forever love Snow and the student life team.

The reason I decided to join SBO was so I could work with so many amazing people and make snow college a better place.

I love it because I’ve made some of my best friends here in SBOs and they will last a lifetime. I also love it because we get to meet so many people and influence each and every one of them.

I wanted to be a Student Body Officer to get as involved with college as I possibly could. I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone and try something new. Being an SBO did that and gave me a much more fulfilling experience here at Snow College. This has helped me grow as both a leader and a person and as another bonus helped me figure out my major. Student Body Officers is an experience I wish more people could have.

This past year, being part of this team has given me the opportunity of many experiences otherwise I would not have had. I have met amazing people who became friends and above all, it brought me the opportunity to serve. I value that very much because as someone said "who does not live to serve does not serve to live."

Since joining the SBO team I have learned how to work through the chaos to create new memories with an amazing team! We get out of our comfort zones and bring a campus of strangers together. I have gained leadership and communication skills through becoming and SBO.

One of the main reason why I ran for SBO at Snow College is because of the love I have for this place. My grandparents taught here, my parents attended here, and I wanted to be able to give back to the school I love. I felt like serving the students, bringing ideas to make change and most importantly bring to life all that I have envisioned. Snow College is the best.

My first semester here wasn’t the funnest because I wasn’t super involved. Because of that, I wanted to help people around Snow feel included, and have a good time.

Being an SBO has been the best thing I could’ve done while here at Snow. I have learned so much this year, and gained friendships and skills that I know will benefit me in the future. All thanks to the help from the advisors and my amazing teammates.

Serving on the SBO team here at Snow has taught me many things it would have been difficult to learn anywhere else.  Interpersonal communication skills, being a leader, effective organziation, and a service oriented mindset are just a few of the qualities I have gained. It has helped me to discover myself and learn to work with a team towards a common goal. I will be forever changed by my experience as a Snow College SBO.
