Justification: Attending school in rural central Utah does not afford students many opportunities to interact with contemporary artists as they would in a metropolitan setting. In order for students to succeed as emerging artists, it is essential that they engage in the dialog of contemporary art. Art talks are an integral part of notable art programs throughout the country and are offered in the state of Utah at most higher education institutions. Lectures will be open to the public.
