Printing on Campus

Printing From a College Lab Computer:

Each computer in the lab should have two printers installed: ‘Black and White’ and ‘Color’.
Each semester students recieve $10 that can be used for printing. Black and white prints cost $.10 per page and color prints cost $.30 per page.
(Library only lab with color printer)

Step 1:  Open the file and click file > print
Step 2:  Select either ‘Black White on papercutserver’ or ‘Color on papercutserver’ depending on whether you want to print in black and white or in color.
Step 3:  Walk over to any print release station on campus. Authenticate with the same username and password you use to login to lab computers. You can also swipe your Badger ID card and authenticate with the same username and password you use to login to lab computers. This will register your card with the system. Then swipe your card again to gain access to your print account.
Step 4:  Select the print jobs you wish to release, and hit ‘print’. Select cancel if you wish to cancel the job.

Printing from a personal laptop:

Step 1: Save your document to be printed in a .docx or .pdf file format on your local computer
Step 2: Navigate to print.snow.edu:9191 in your web browser’s URL bar
Step 3: Log into this website using the same username and password you use on lab computers.
Step 4: Select ‘Web Print’ if not already default selected on the left navigation menu
Step 5: Select the ‘Submit a Job’ link
Step 6: Below the ‘Quick Find’ bar you will see two printers.  Select one:
           papercutserver\Black and White (virtual)
           papercutserver\Color(virtual)
Step 7: Click the button on the bottom right labeled “2. Print Options and Account Selection”
Step 8: Edit the number of copies you want and select “3. Upload documents” from the bottom right corner
Step 9: Drag files from the location you saved the file from in step 1. to the ‘Drag files here’ icon or click Upload from computer to manually navigate to your saved file.
Step 10: Select ‘Upload and Complete’ from the bottom right corner
Step 11: Walk over to any print release station on campus. Swipe your Badger ID card and authenticate with the same username and password you use to login to lab computers. This will register your card with the system. Then swipe your card again to gain access to your print account.
Step 12: Select the print jobs you wish to release, and hit ‘print’. Hit cancel if you wish to cancel the job.
