Following Successful People Leads to our Own Success
Dominique Gousse is a Snow College Alumni and the Print Media Marketing Director at Southern Utah University. During her time at Snow, she was a Presidential Ambassador continued to be being an ambassador at SUU. Along with her Ambassador duties, she makes sure that the signage that is to be put up around campus is correct, design ready, and informs students about campus events. Dominique is a go-getter whose actions are ones we should follow.

Why does she do what she does?

Dominique explains that while she was at Snow College, she took classes that helped her to explore and find out what her niche is. She is really big into organizing and analyzing data and working together with others in teams. She says that working in marketing is a great way for her to develop these skills.

Just like Dominique, it is important to find what our niches are and use them to help us in our current and future jobs. Finding something we are good at can really help us to enjoy work and expanding our skill sets in each job can help us to love work even more!

What does she want to achieve?

Dominique strives to learn more every day and to help the students know more and have fun. She says that it is possible for us to learn more each day at work and to have fun while we are doing it. Striving to help the students to know more and have fun is rewarding and encouraging to her.

Our achievements can boost our positivity and help us to improve. Striving to learn more every day will help us to grow rapidly and to give us encouragement as we work. As we do this, work can turn into a pleasure to attend every single day.

What does she try to avoid?

Dominique tries to avoid procrastination as much as possible. By avoiding this, she has opportunities to get ahead. She can stay caught up on her work and even has chances to get an early start on important tasks and projects.

By avoiding procrastination, we too can stay caught up and get early starts on important tasks. It is important that we are focused on the tasks at hand and promptly move on to the next tasks so that we are never behind. Employers will especially appreciate that.

What kinds of people are the most successful?

The most successful people, according to Dominique, are the kind of people who are accountable, reliable, and will naturally try their best.

It is important that we strive to be these kinds of people as well and success will follow us. We will have opportunities that we cannot even imagine, connections that would never be there before, and be in an environment where you can always see the good.
